MyMD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. attended the 2023 Society of Toxicology (SOT) Annual Meeting March 19-22, 2023 in Nashville, TN.
Prior to the conference, Chris Chapman, M.D., President, Director and Chief Medical Officer of MyMD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Sonia Edaye, Research Scientist in Pharmacology/Discovery for Charles River Laboratories submitted an abstract for consideration to the prestigious meeting. Upon acceptance, a poster was developed to highlight study results comparing MYMD-1® to placebo. Study results were very highly significant and showed MYMD-1® reduced histopathological changes and the severity of standard arthritis clinical trial measures (additional study details can be found here: MyMD and Charles River)
SOT’s impressive commitment to research focuses on:
- Developing knowledge of mechanisms/modes of action underlying toxicity
- dose-response relationships and consideration of exposure conditions
- Ensuring research is judged based on scientific merit
The meeting provided an opportunity to connect with international and national companies who currently support our drug development program, such as Charles River, Eurofins, and Frontage to name as few, as well as network with new companies with similar interests.
The Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting this week was the perfect event to reinforce our commitment to our partners as well as reinforce the importance of our work as we gear up for our next phase 2 trial focused on Rheumatoid Arthritis.
MyMD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is eager to continue its plans focused on continued efforts to improve the lives of those managing chronic conditions through research and innovation.
We anticipate our Phase II trial kicking off in 2023 and anticipate the results strongly challenging the current gold standard of treatments.
